Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team at a reputable hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing respiratory care to patients with breathing difficulties or disorders. Duties:
- Perform respiratory therapy assessments and develop treatment plans for patients
- Administer basic life support and provide emergency care as needed
- Utilize medical terminology and anatomy knowledge to assess patient conditions
- Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment, including ventilators
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care
- Provide respiratory therapy services to patients of all ages, including pediatrics and adults
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed records
Skills:
- Proficient in respiratory therapy techniques and procedures
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Ability to ventilate patients using various methods
- Experience in critical care settings is preferred
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle emergency situations calmly
Requirements:
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license/certification
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field (preferred)
- Previous experience as a Respiratory Therapist (preferred)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment
