OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our medical team. We are now offering Image-Guided Superficial Radiation Treatment IGSRT to treat various skin cancers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical imaging and radiation therapy, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verifies and administers prescribed doses of radiation to specific sites in accordance with the prescription defined by the Dermatology practitioner.
- Positions patients for treatment with accuracy according to the prescription.
- Enters data into the computer and sets controls to operate and adjust equipment and regulate dosage in accordance to the prescription.
- Conduct most treatment sessions independently and under the general direction of the practitioner.
- Assist the Dermatology practitioner in localization and simulation and documentation of the lesion to be treated.
- Photograph treatment areas of the patient and document.
- Check for side effects of the skin such as skin irritations, erythema, blistering, moist desquamation, and report to the Dermatology practitioner.
- Prepare and construct custom protection devices for patient treatment.
- Educate, prepare, and reassure patients and their families by answering questions, providing physical assistance, and reinforcing practitioner’s advice regarding treatment reactions and post-treatment care.
- Performs daily warm-up and QA of the SRT machine prior to the start of treatments each day as prescribed by manufacturer.
-Follow principles of radiation protection for the patient, self, and others.
-Complete other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Physiology knowledge
- Proficiency in radiation therapy procedures
- Experience in medical imaging technologies
- Proficiency in medical terminology
REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate of a Regionally Accredited Program for Radiation Therapy.
- AART Certified in Radiation Therapy R.T. (RTT Board Certified)
- Licensed by the state of Washington
- Strong verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be dependable, with excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Effective analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Strong time management skills
- Must be a team member and have a positive attitude.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
