Lydia Home Association is a dynamic and rapidly growing non-profit organization dedicated to helping strengthen families to care for children and to care for children when families cannot. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a talented and experienced Systems Administrator to join our team and support our IT department.
Function
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining all aspects of information technology within Lydia Home Association and Safe Families for Children, our sister organization. This individual will work closely with the IT Manager and the end user of the organization. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in various areas of IT, including infrastructure, security, cloud, end user administration, and technical support. While we have outlined specific qualifications for the Systems Administrator position, we understand that candidates may come from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Responsibilities
- Assist the IT manager with maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Providing end user support to the Lydia Home and Safe Families staff- Work with the IT manager to develop and implement new network troubleshooting strategies to reduce downtime and decrease maintenance costs.
- Work with the IT manager to construct and implement plans to ensure the company's network continues to operate smoothly in the event of a problem.
- Collaborate with other department managers to assess the growth needs and maintenance of the company's network.
- Initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures related to IT.
- Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery and backup procedures, as well as information security and control structures.
- Identify problems and evaluate trends to proactively address IT issues.
- Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field preferred not required.
- 2+ years of experience in IT administration roles, preferably in a non-profit or similar environment.
- Strong technical skills and expertise in infrastructure, security, cloud administration,end user support, and technical support.-Voip configuration, administration and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategies to support organizational goals.-Familiarity with database management- Ability to stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Any Cloud Vendor, CompTIA Security+, CISM, CISSP) are a plus.
