The City of Chandler Police Department, Information Technology Division is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Business Systems Support Specialist. The Chandler Police Information Technology provides IT services to the department 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, including weekend and holidays. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with benefits, working a Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm schedule.

Essential Duties

Serve as a functional administrator for police department applications, providing technical support, training, and access.

Manage application, server, and database maintenance activities to ensure the stability of department applications.

Troubleshoot application issues and escalate issues to vendors or enterprise IT as needed.

Onboard new hires using current technology.

Manage mobile device management (MDM) logins and settings, including issuing Apple cell phones to designated hires.
-
Maintain and manage licenses and user access.
-
Administer Apple Business Manager for app certificates, phone assignments, and iPhone inventory.

Manage Address book contacts.
-
Review online police reports, manage user accounts, and run reports for statistics in CaseService and other systems.

Serve as a primary contact for Cox Business, FirstNet AT&T, Ivanti Mobile Manager, Neighbors LE Portal, Tmobile, Verizon Business, and other systems.

Perform system administration tasks for systems such as Versaterm, MyAxon, AZ Point, Flock, Spiceworks Help Desk, PDInfo, SpiderTech, and other systems.

Manage email groups.
-
Assist with system migrations, hardware/software installations, and inventory management.

Conducts special projects, as assigned.

Ensure compliance with CJIS security policy and Police General Orders.

Minimum Qualifications
-
A High School Diploma or GED with some college level coursework or technical training in a computer technology area; and
-
Must have at least 3-years of experience with systems and software support, and/or service desk experience with a variety of operating systems, software, hardware, applications, peripherals and problem resolution; and

Must have a valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record;

Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Desired Qualifications

Experience in technical support, system administration, and user management.

Knowledge of computer operating systems, software applications, mobile devices, and peripherals.

Familiarity with service request ticket tracking systems and incident reporting methods.

Understanding of security policies and regulations related to law enforcement systems.
Supervision
Work is performed under the supervision of a division supervisor or manager. This position does not supervise others.

The City of Chandler fingerprints all applicants selected for hire to evaluate the fitness of prospective employees. The examination process may vary if determined necessary. The position available is a regular full-time position and is subject to a 6-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for six (6) months should another position become available.
