Position Summary
The Operator is responsible for the professional series production of assembly equipment. When required, may also be responsible to assist in set-up and change-over.
Primary Duties:
- Responsible for the operating equipment for assembly of parts.
- Supervision and monitoring of the production processes and basic trouble shooting.
Direct supervision of machinery and accompanying quality control processes.
- Accountable for the documentation for the Quality Management System.
- Assist in set-up and change-over of production.
- Responsible for the inspections of manufactured parts during production process.
- Ensures on time completion of production orders.
- Responsible for administrative duties and completed paperwork within work scope.
- Responsible for the documentation of problems, produced quantities, scrap, start and end of production on provided formats.
- Ensures safety, environmental protection and cleanliness in designated areas.
- Responsible for a smooth production process.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience in a batch fabrication department.
- Experience with the set-up and change-over of production equipment.
- Experience in producing stamped or assembled parts for the automotive industry.
- Solid organizational skills.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoots equipment or process problems. Analyzes when to call support department resources.
- Operates job tasks when required.
- Performs daily or weekly paperwork/reporting requirements.
- May schedule team members work assignments and plans accordingly so team member work assignments are covered during absences
- Help achieve production goals by assisting with equipment troubleshooting, etc.
- Operate equipment to meet production goals
