Qualifications
· As a Senior Laboratory Space Planner, you will have experience with pre-design, programming, laboratory planning (preferably biotechnology labs), and knowledge of specialty architectural environments including: lab, cGMP, R&D, and flex Real Estate
· Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture with 6+ years of related experience
· Proficient in CAD & AutoCAD
· Knowledge of Laboratory Programming delivery and how design impacts those systems -including space, operational, and equipment programming, as well as MEP systems and casework
· Substantial experience working directly Senior Management representatives, scientists, laboratory managers, technicians, facilities and project managers, and other project stakeholders in determining and documenting programmatic requirements
· Demonstrable working technical knowledge and skill set to guide discussions for laboratory room/space development in conjunction with equipment and other technical attributes
· Ability to work with end users to develop process flows, planning process, and critical adjacencies of research and laboratory rooms for optimum efficiency and flexibility
· Leadership experience, including managing client expectations, multi-disciplinary teams, and meeting scope/schedule/budget
· Skilled at developing and motivating teams of people both internally and externally, along with a desire to mentor team members

Responsibilities
· You are a subject matter expert on the design and documentation of large lab projects - which may include Research and Development, Manufacturing, Clinical Labs, Animal Research or other Technical Lab types
· Conduct and lead weekly in-person design updates to Senior Executives with all existing portfolio spaces
· Lead and drive future and existing design needs for entire real estate portfolio
· Utilizing exceptional in house and client relationship skills and a portfolio of innovative design solutions with an emphasis on design details
· Work directly with in-house colleagues, clients, scientists, researchers and related end-users to develop laboratory design and planning strategies at all levels of detail, including new construction and renovations
