We are an employer-based credit union looking for a part-time Member Service Representative (Teller) who is reliable, detail-oriented, and trustworthy. The employee should be comfortable working independently but have excellent communication skills. A bilingual (English/Spanish) candidate with bank or credit union experience would be ideal.
Ideally, we are seeking someone for 2 days per week, 6 hours per day: 10:45AM-4:45PM. Days would alternate between Monday/Friday the first week and Wednesday/Thursday the following week. If additional hours are desired, they may be available in our Wilkes-Barre branch.
Medical insurance and paid sick time are not available. The position includes paid holidays (immediately) and paid vacation (after 1 year).
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to members and guests
- Process cash transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, and check cashing
- Take loan applications and witness signing of loan documents
- Make bank deposits as necessary
- Assist members with changing payroll deductions
- Open new accounts
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience:
- Previous experience in a bank or credit union STRONGLY preferred
- Proficient and accurate in typing for data entry purposes
- Comfortable handling and balancing cash
