Position Title: Builder 1 - Carpenter
Position Reports To: Foreman
Position Summary
Builder 1 - Carpenter assists the leadman with erection, modification, designing, layout, building, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures, and other items using different types of materials including wood and steel.
Essential Functions
- Ensure that work is being performed in a manner that is consistent with Apache, client, and regulatory requirements.
- Follow directions of Foreman to understand the scope of work and bring to their attention any potential problems and issues.
- Follow verbal directions as required to perform duties and responsibilities as listed below.
- Heavy lifting will often be required to perform tasks.
- Must be able to kneel, squat, and climb.
- Must be able to perform required duties for extended periods of time.
- Clean up of work area, supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Communicate regularly with the Field Foreman with regard to issues and concerns on the job site.
- Responsible for ensuring that work continues in the Foreman’s absence.
- Comply with all Apache and client safety policies and programs.
- Maintain a reliable attendance records
- Always maintains a clean and safe work environment
- Work unsupervised in an efficient and effective manner.
- Able to wear all required PPE
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Minimum 1-2 years of carpentry experience.
- Minimum 1 year experience with sheetrock and flooring.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ensure that EVERY individual component is thoroughly inspected to verify good condition and integrity. Any defect encountered will require removal of services.
- Ensure that all scaffolds are erected/dismantled in accordance with industry standards and manufacturer, OSHA, Apache, and client’s recommendations/requirements
- Assisting with structural design, planning, layout, and installation.
- Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment.
- Hammer material to each locking section
- Ensuring good housekeeping is being performed throughout the entire project - inside & outside
- Must maintain a positive attitude with crew members.
Work Conditions/Physical Demands
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
- No adverse environmental conditions expected.
- Must be able to work in high noise volumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, dusty conditions, hazardous machinery, precarious places, proximity to other employees.

All employees are made aware that Apache has a comprehensive drug/ alcohol policy and program in place, which includes random testing. OSHA is required for site.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
