About the Role
Spiegelworld is looking for Bar Apprentices to join the team at our newest venture, Diner Ross at the LINQ in Las Vegas. The Bar Apprentice is responsible for assisting the Mixologists by receiving and restocking the bar, greeting guests, pouring their water upon being seated, maintaining bar cleanliness and sanitation in accordance to SNHD requirements, and completing daily setup and breakdown. This position reports directly to the Bar Manager. This is a steady extra position so the schedule will be based on the team's needs. and the pay is $15.22/hour plus tips for the duration of the introductory period.
Responsibilities
- Staying guest-focused and providing exceptional service by making a positive impression on the guest.
- Participating in in-house modeling programs, special events, banquet events, social media marketing, and model/presenter tasks and promotions
- Maintaining awareness of all state laws pertaining to the sale and service of alcoholic beverages
- Ensuring proper set-up and maintenance of well stations, back bar and bar top at all times. Perform all aspects of opening and closing duties.
- Adhering to staff privileges and responsibilities
- Maintaining professionalism in both appearance and behavior at all times
- Adhering to seasonal uniform and appearance requirements.
- Adhering to set schedules and attendance to mandatory staff meetings.
- Actively engage in our antiracist commitment and internal practices by participating in offered learnings, engaging in conversations around Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, and helping us maintain a safe and welcoming workspace.
- Performing on all position responsibilities and requirements.
What You Bring
- Requires 1-2 years’ experience in beverage service, preferably in a high-volume beverage venue.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not a requirement.
- Craft beverage and cocktail knowledge.
- Awareness of all state laws pertaining to the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
- Ability to perform all job functions.
- Lifts and transports boxes and kegs up to 100 lbs. from the back of the house or/and basement to the front of house bars.
- Frequently reaches, lifts, stoops, bends and cleans to maintain service areas.
- Walks, stands and climbs stairs during the entire shift.
- Effectively communicates verbally with staff, while reading, speaking and fully comprehending English.
- Hazards may include, but are not limited to, slips, falls and burns.
- Must be teamwork oriented and self-motivated.
- Be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licensing and work cards required present and future. Must maintain proper safety and sanitation standards.
- Must be flexible enough to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to work in a club/nightlife atmosphere with loud music and flashing lights.
- Candidates must have valid work authorization for the US
- Successful background check clearance prior to hire
- Must be at least 21 years of age.

- Work is performed in a high volume professional foodservice/ theater environment.
- Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
- Able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours and ability to climb statues between levels in venue
- Able to lift or carry up to 50lbs.
