You'll have to be self-motivated, reliable, have a strong job integrity, and willing to participate effectively as part of the Import team. You'll ideally have a couple of years of Import Operations experience under your belt, ideally you’ll experience will be in Ocean & Air shipments.
Your responsibilities will be varied, with no two days being the same, you can expect to:
- Be taking responsibility for Ocean, Air, Import shipments to include Booking, Releasing, Customs Brokerage, Delivery, Invoice and Closing.
- Receive, review and follow-up on import and vendor documents.
- Input date both in our production system and Excel quote spreadsheets, if required
- Manage import shipments A-Z
- On-the-fly file profit auditing. You’ll work closely with the accounting department to ensure every shipment is effectively reconciled.
- Regular email correspondence with clients/ customers.
- Naturally you’ll have a very enterprising approach to your work and will always be looking at the most profitable and effective mode of shipment.
- Experience with Cargowise a PLUS
