Applied Image manufactures high end, permanent architectural graphics. In conjunction with printing, these graphics usually require lamination, to assure durability and achieve the design intent. The Graphics Finishing Technician laminates and trims finished film product, and mounts a variety of film to a wide variety of substrate, often with technically challenging recipes. The Finishing Technician manages use of material and confirms the high quality of final product.
The Finishing Technician’s responsibilities include but are not restricted to:
· Perform tasks as directed by the Director of Manufacturing.
· Operate and maintain all aspects of laminating and finishing equipment, including laminators and trimmers.
· Read and interpret job specifications.
· Trim and finish printed graphics.
· Hand and machine mount a wide variety of adhesive film on a wide variety of substrates.
· Contribute to graphic mounting and finishing processes and solutions.
· Assist Shipping and Receiving in the organization and packing of finished jobs.
· Assist other Technicians and Operators with their daily tasks.
· Implement all safety procedures regarding tasks and equipment.
· Ensure quality control.
· Work overtime as necessary.
Ability to operate a variety of types of 60” laminators is necessary. Graphic mounting skills are necessary. Extreme attention to detail is necessary. Basic math skills are also essential. Must work well in an environment that emphasizes teamwork. Must be able to visually recognize print, lamination, and/or mounting issues. High school diploma required.
