Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with patients of all ages to improve their physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being. Your role will involve assessing patients' needs, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to help them regain independence and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' functional abilities and limitations
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings and goals set by the patient and their healthcare team
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, balance, strength, and endurance
- Provide guidance and education to patients and their families on adaptive techniques, equipment use, and home modifications
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, speech therapists, and case managers, to ensure coordinated care
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working with a diverse patient population, including geriatrics and pediatrics
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a hospital setting
- Knowledge of speech therapy techniques for patients with speech or swallowing difficulties

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
