Job Overview:
The Medical Writer II will assist and provide a range of support and administration to the Strategist to write out the supporting documents for each case. These documents will support the findings and medical claim strategy for Veteran’s cases. Each level will be responsible for higher medical knowledge and research. This individual will be someone who thrives on telling a story with medical terminology.

Responsibilities:
- Performing medical research

Knowledge of Medical Terminology and Anatomy
-
Identifying relevant codes and other pertinent material; reviewing and monitoring new and updated regulations

Organizing and analyzing information; cross checking and validating information

Preparing written documents and drafting documents and correspondence

Maintain reference files; organizing and tracking case files

Maintain client and document library
-
Locating and communicating Veteran details and interacting with clients

Understanding and being HIPAA compliant
Qualifications:
- Authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.

AA in Health Services Administration, Health Sciences, or Public Health preferred, but not required.

Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Minimum of three (3) years of thorough knowledge of grammar, document creation, APA format techniques and medical terminology.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills, analytical and critical thinking skills.

Proficient with Microsoft office applications, including word, excel and PowerPoint.

Ability to operate basic office equipment such as computer, printer, copy machine and scanner.

Ability to be detail-oriented, diligent and flexible.

Ability to multitask and focus on task completion with little direction or need supervisory follow up.

Ability to work and maintain patience with diverse individuals of various ethnic backgrounds and professional competencies.
