Job Title: Registered Nurse - Infusion

Rate: $2100 Weekly
Shift: 40hrs - 5x8hrs - Days
Job Description:
The Registered Nurse - Infusion Therapy will be responsible for providing safe and efficient infusion therapy to patients in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, and home care environments. The RN will collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized infusion therapy plans.
- Administer intravenous medications, fluids, and blood products according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patients during infusion therapy for adverse reactions and side effects, taking appropriate action as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on infusion therapy procedures, medication administration, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and responses to therapy.
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards and safety protocols during infusion procedures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based infusion therapy protocols.
- Provide support and guidance to less experienced staff members, including LPNs and nursing assistants, as needed.
- Stay updated on current trends, advancements, and best practices in infusion therapy through continuing education and professional development activities.
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in infusion therapy (e.g., CRNI) highly desirable.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in infusion therapy.
- Proficiency in venipuncture and intravenous catheter insertion.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be preferred.
