We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Independent Pharmacist to oversee and manage all aspects of our pharmacy operations in the North Miami-Dade region. As the Independent Pharmacist, you will be responsible for running the pharmacy efficiently, finding opportunities to increase profitability, and managing a mail order service. Your expertise in pharmacy operations, knowledge of US regulations, and strong leadership skills will be critical for success.
Responsibilities:
Pharmacy Operations Management:
Oversee day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing pharmaceuticals in the United States
Manage inventory, ordering, and receiving of pharmaceutical supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, patient profiles, and other relevant information in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements specific to the United States
Profitability Analysis:
Analyze prescription data and identify trends and potential opportunities.
Assess the financial performance of the pharmacy, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to maximize profitability.
Collaborate with the management team to set financial goals.
Opportunity and Partnership:
Identify and establish relationships with pharmaceutical suppliers, negotiating favorable pricing terms and discounts to improve profitability.
Mail Order Service Management:
Manage and improve our mail order service pharmacy.
Implement efficient processes for receiving, processing, and delivering mail-order prescriptions.
Monitor and optimize the mail order service's performance in seeking feedback from customers and making necessary improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
Patient Care and Consultation:
Provide expert advice and guidance to patients on prescription medications, potential side effects, and proper usage, adhering to US healthcare guidelines.
Offer consultations to patients in the region regarding over-the-counter products, supplements, and general health and wellness inquiries.
Address and resolve any medication-related concerns or issues raised by patients and/or healthcare professionals.
Knowledge of Compounding:
License and/or willingness to get licensed in order to operate compound pharmacy.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
Valid pharmacist license in the United States, specifically in the state of Florida.
Proven experience working as a pharmacist, preferably in a managerial role within an independent pharmacy.
Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, drug interactions, and pharmacy regulations.
Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in pharmacy management software and computer systems.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and patient safety.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
