The Guild for Exceptional Children (preschool) is looking for a certified, Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team and work with students and families at the Guild for Exceptional Children preschool to help them correct problematic behaviors in the school setting.
Part-time position available 3 hours a day Monday-Friday / total 15 hours a week (School hours 8:30 AM to 3 PM)
BCBA responsibilities include
Observing preschool students and assessing their behavior during the school day
Collaborating with families, teachers, and clinical staff to discuss student programs and progress and recommend ways to address behavioral issues
Developing individual plans to correct, maintain, or improve certain behaviors.
Work directly with students experiencing problematic behaviors to help them correct those behaviors.
Implement plans and tailor interventions as needed
Provide additional support recommendations for other professionals as required
Remain abreast of changes in research on evidence-based practices
Requirements and skills
Proven work experience as a BCBA
Knowledge of appropriate referral procedures
Excellent verbal and report writing skills
Calm, empathic, and patient nature
The ability to remain composed and adherent to best practices, even when under duress
Certifications as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
