Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Access Manager. As the Patient Access Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the administrative operations of our healthcare facility, ensuring efficient patient registration and scheduling processes.
Duties:
- Manage and supervise the patient access team, providing guidance and support
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize patient registration and scheduling processes
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Coordinate with other departments to streamline patient flow and improve overall patient experience
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement
- Train staff on medical administrative support procedures, including eClinicalWorks and Epic systems
- Resolve patient inquiries, complaints, and issues in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with insurance providers to verify coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Maintain accurate records of patient demographics, insurance information, and medical history
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to patient access management
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
- Proven experience in a medical administrative support role, such as dental receptionist or front desk coordinator
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, such as eClinicalWorks and Epic
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
