For 27 years in Michiana, Luvability has been devoted to fostering Christian community for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), alongside their families and caregivers. Through partnerships with donors, churches, and businesses, we establish welcoming and inclusive spaces that nurture opportunities for worship, fellowship, growth, and service.
At Luvability, individuals with IDD are embraced as beloved by God, empowered to fully participate and thrive in Christian community. Our ministries encompass a range of offerings, including weekly Worship Arts services, monthly Together community events, Summer Camps, life enrichment classes, caregiver support services, grief counseling, and celebrations of life ceremonies.
While we currently collaborate with our community partners for meeting spaces, our vision includes establishing a dedicated center. The Luvability Center will serve as our permanent home, enabling us to expand services and extend our impact. This visionary endeavor will encompass enhanced day programs, specialized art facilities, and space for educational and service initiatives, ensuring that Luvability members will continue to flourish..

We seek an executive leader with a unique skill set and steadfast Christian faith, who will strive to lead the Campers, Caregivers, Staff and Volunteers by example in the way of Jesus through Christian precepts such as commitment in baptism, communion, and the worship of God in Christian community.

I. Personal Qualifications

Luvability's Executive Director Will be self-reliant, requiring minimal work direction; exhibit persistence and initiative; put forth a consistent, energetic effort; assume full and complete responsibility for accomplishment of organization functions.

Luvability's Executive Director will possess a realistic knowledge and competence of the field and apply up-to-date technical/professional principles, practices, and standards appropriate to the functions of the organization; act as a resource person upon whom others can draw; maintain a professional demeanor on a consistent basis.

II. Administrative Responsibilities
Board Administration and Support
Luvability's Executive Director will support operations and administration of the Board by advising and informing Board members, interfacing between Board and staff, supporting Board's evaluation of chief executive, and implementing all Board initiatives.
Planning
Luvability's Executive Director will submit to the Board short and long range plans and goals to meet organization objectives consistent with Board established priorities; set appropriate priorities of needs and resulting services to be provided; anticipate and prepare for future requirements and devises contingencies; devise realistic plans
Budgeting and Economic Management
Luvability's Executive Director will submit an appropriate budget to the Board and subsequently adhere to it; utilize finances, budgets, facilities, equipment, materials and products to minimize costs; actively practice cost containment.
Fundraising and Development
Luvability's Executive Director will oversee fundraising planning and implementation utilizing the Major Gifts Ramp Up model to secure financial support for the organization's mission. This entails identifying potential funding sources, cultivating relationships with donors, and overseeing fundraising initiatives.
Training, education and coaching will be available to aid the Executive Director with creatively building on past successes while envisioning new partnerships, methods, and messaging to expand the organization's donor base and funding opportunities.
Develop measurable metrics to assess the impact of Luvability’s programs and initiatives. And devise effective ways to communicate these stories of impact to stakeholders.
Identify potential donors, nurturing relationships with existing supporters, and devising strategies to cultivate long-term partnerships that contribute to the growth of the donor base.
Implement outreach activities and initiatives aimed at meeting defined goals, regularly monitoring progress and adjusting strategies as necessary. Provide regular updates to the Board.
Community and Public Relations
Luvability's Executive Director will ensure the organization and its mission, programs, products and services are consistently presented in a strong, positive image to donors, constituencies, and relevant parties.
Organizational Responsibilities
Luvability's Executive Director will structure work in order to avoid crisis, promote productivity, attain cost effectiveness, and deliver work on time. Involved in this process are the tasks of allocating work, delineating responsibilities, scheduling activities, and adequately preparing for meetings and presentations.
Compliance
Luvability's Executive Director will comply with established policies, procedures and directives; conduct organization functions in accordance with applicable laws, statutes, and regulations.
Problem Solving and Decision-Making
Luvability's Executive Director will identify problems and act to rectify them by employing analytical thinking and sound judgment.
Evaluation and Controls
Luvability's Executive Director will practice regular and systematic review of organization operations to evaluate progress towards established goals; evaluate strategies employed in seeking those goals; implement remedial measures when necessary.
Risk (Liability) Management
Luvability's Executive Director will ensure that liability risk exposures are identified and treated when proposing new programs and services; evaluate and monitor established programs and services to identify areas which need revision due to changes in operation, legislation, policies and procedures; implement changes where needed to facilitate favorable loss experience; manage employee safety program, including appropriate training and corrective action when necessary.
III. Management Responsibilities
Oral Communication
Luvability's Executive Director will effectively communicate orally with individuals and groups, including public presentations; present ideas in an organized, clear and concise manner, employ tact and discretion; listen well; offer appropriate feedback.
Written Communication
Luvability's Executive Director will prepare organized, clear, concise, accurate and informative letters, memos, reports and other documents which effectively fulfill content and timeliness requirements.
Coordination/Collaboration
Luvability's Executive Director will be capable of working well with others at various levels; keep information flowing to the appropriate parties vertically (down as well as up) and horizontally; facilitate communication and problem solving among parties when necessary.
Supervisory Control
Luvability's Executive Director will effectively hire, assign, direct, evaluate performance, counsel and discipline all other functions necessary or incidental to supervision; practice compliance with employment law guidelines and mandates.
Leadership
Luvability's Executive Director will promote cooperation and teamwork among employees and volunteers; establish high standards of conduct and job performance for subordinates; maintain open communication channels; delegate work; lead by example.
Staff Appraisal and Development
Luvability's Executive Director will provide good records of subordinate performance; review appraisal information with subordinates; aid subordinates in improving performance on current job; help subordinates in setting up and implementing development plans and objectives; cross-train employees; encourage subordinates to participate in training.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
