At Avena Psychological Services, we work with individuals and couples seeking support and guidance as they work toward personal goals and lasting change. We understand that the decision to seek therapy can take a great deal of courage and commitment, and it is our distinct pleasure to be considered as part of our clients’ journies toward personal growth. We are committed to providing therapy of the highest quality, and are dedicated to helping our clients navigate the process every step of the way.
We believe the most important aspect of an effective and satisfying therapy experience is the quality of the relationship between the therapist and the client. Long gone are the days of the silent therapy room and the blank-faced therapist we are used to seeing in movies and television. Modern approaches to therapy are much more interactive and collaborative, and we find that our easygoing, empathic, and conversational styles invite clients into the sense of hope and possibility that therapy can bring. Through that healing therapeutic relationship, we work with individuals and couples from diverse backgrounds and experiences to learn more about themselves, identify the sources of their emotional struggles, feel more connected in their relationships, and sort through the various challenges life can bring.
Therapy with our clinicians is genuine, culturally-sensitive, and non-judgmental. At Avena Psychological Services, our approach to psychotherapy is highly individualized, and we strive to provide interventions based on the unique needs of each client. We prioritize having a diverse and experienced team of clinicians and foster a work environment that promotes independence, collaboration, flexibility, and clinical competence.
