Responsibilities:
Essential job functions will consist of preparing samples for analysis in lab using various EPA methods. Environmental samples include but not limited to waters, wastes, soils, and air. This is an entry level position starting out in extractions with the goal of moving into analysis operating GC/MS instrumentation. Direct responsibilities will include managing backlog of samples, preparing samples, overseeing inventory of supplies and standards and using the LIMS program. Should be familiar with MS Office Suite programs and be able to navigate computer network. Have the ability to communicate with other department level experts and Senior Chemists on technical questions or issues that may arise. Be dependable, self-motivated, detail oriented and work well in a team atmosphere.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
