We are seeking a highly experienced and talented Senior Mechanical Designer with over 15 years of experience to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Mechanical Designer, you will play a critical role in the development and design of mechanical systems and components, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Senior Designer maintains development of complex mechanical systems and components from concept to production, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budget constraints.
- CAD Modeling: Utilize advanced CAD software (such as SolidWorks, NX or Inventor) to create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings, including assemblies, parts, and layouts.
- Engineering Analysis: Perform engineering analyses, including stress analysis, thermal analysis, and tolerance studies, to validate and optimize designs.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including simulation engineers, software engineers, manufacturing, and system layout team, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs into final products.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and manufacturing instructions.
- Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior mechanical designers and detailers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement in mechanical design processes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in mechanical design, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in advanced CAD software (NX, Solidworks or Inventor), engineering analysis tools, and a strong understanding of mechanical principles and materials science.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively to overcome design challenges.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
- Team Player: A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with BiW, General Assembly and Special Machines
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements related to mechanical design.
