Snapology offers STEM/Lego-based Summer camps and field trips at local Smyrna/Vinings and neighboring school campuses. Position may float between camp sites and home office locations based on business needs and individual's strengths.
Position:
The Snapology Assistant will support a range of responsibilities from back office administrative support to on site camp instructor assistance when needed. Hours and days may be somewhat flexible, but availability on weekdays from 9 - 3 is preferred. Individual must have a drivers license and reliable personal transportation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize weekly camp materials: inventory kits/parts; print, laminate, label and catalog camp materials, set up tablets; create nametags and pack goodie bags; manage inventory checklists to ensure complete sets for each camp.
- Aid in the distribution and collection of camp materials as needed, may include drop off/pick up/exchanges on Monday mornings or Friday afternoons, or occasional re-stock/supply deliveries mid-week.
- Data entry (light), draft email communications, photo and video management for family correspondence
- Provide instructor assistance at camps when needed, including oversight of campers to ensure safety, assisting campers with activities, accompanying campers across campus to playground, nurse station, restroom, etc. Students pursuing a degree in education may be given more hands-on experience in the classroom if desired
- Participate in periodic Snapology training & staff meetings, as required
Qualifications:
- Criminal and Child Clearances including background checks for 18 years and older
- Experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment a plus
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
- Must be 16 years or older with a valid drivers license
- Reliable transportation to and from job and training sites with the ability to transport materials
This position is part-time. Depending on candidate availability and performance during Summer Camp season job could extend into the school season to support after school enrichment programs.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
