Summary:
East Hawaii Medical Group is seeking a skilled and compassionate Gastroenterologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology and possess excellent clinical skills, communication abilities, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic procedures such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and liver biopsies to evaluate and treat gastrointestinal conditions.

Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients with GI disorders, including prescribing medications, recommending lifestyle modifications, and coordinating with other specialists when necessary.

Provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients, including accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, and ongoing management of their conditions.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and coordinated care for patients.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and continuing medical education activities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
Education Requirements:

Medical degree from an accredited medical school

Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology

Strong clinical skills and expertise in performing gastrointestinal procedures

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills

Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and promoting patient safety

Willingness to participate in on-call duties and weekend coverage as needed
Licensure Requirement: Candidates must hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Hawaii, DEA, and Hawaii Controlled Substance
East Hawaii Medical Group is the East Hawaii Region's diverse provider group of over 100 physicians and advanced practice providers, representing various specialties in our hospitals and outpatient clinics. Our group is also responsible for managing the Hawaii Island Family Medicine Residency program that trains new family medicine physicians.
