Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk/Office Manager to join our team. The Accounting Clerk/Office Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of financial concepts.
Duties:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper recording and reporting of financial transactions
-Familiarity with prevailing wages/Davis Bacon payroll requirements
- Prepare and review sales tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Associates degree or equivalent experience required in accounting or related field
- Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Online/Quickbooks
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Experience with debits/credits, account reconciliation.
