The Inventory Manager position is a key member of the leadership team responsible for inventory control through cycle counts, identifying discrepancies, researching and analyzing root causes and determining the best way to eliminate future issues.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the below:
- Lead and supervise all warehouse personnel in inventory control and quality assurance operations
- Utilize root cause analysis to identify and promptly report inventory discrepancies, proposing effective solutions to resolve them.
- Partner with site management team to drive quality at all levels within the warehouse
- Work closely with all levels of personnel in order to educate and to understand how functions affect the inventory
- Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly action plans that improve quality, inventory accuracy and service
- Plan and execute cycle counts as required in each area of the warehouse
- Teaching and influencing managers and associates on the importance of inventory control and quality assurance
- Other duties as required and assigned
Required Skills/Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within warehousing
- Experience managing within a warehouse management system
- Strong analytical, mathematical or data analysis bias
- Ability to drive process improvement initiatives
- Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills
- Must be PC literate and proficient with MS Office and Excel
