Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Minerals and Real Estate Appraiser to join our team as Partner. The Partner will be responsible for assessing the value of industrial assets, including real estate and mineral properties for various purposes, including sales, financing, insurance, tax and charitable giving.
We are a fully funded, emerging appraisal firm with multi year engagements in place across multiple mineral and real estate properties as part of an upcoming exciting mineral and asset exchange (in addition to many expected future engagements due to heavy marketing).
Responsibilities:
- Conduct property inspections to evaluate and document condition, features, and improvements
- Analyze data on comparable properties, market trends, and other factors affecting property value
- Prepare written reports detailing property assessments and valuation conclusions
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Prepare certified valuation reports and accompanying tax forms (e.g. 8283).
Skills and Qualifications:
Must be able to produce final certified appraisal reports and complete associated documentation / paperwork in accordance with the substance and principles of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice, as developed by the Appraisal Standards Board of the Appraisal Foundation. It also must meet the relevant requirements of Regulations section 1.170A-17(a) and (b).
Other requirements include:
- Proficiency in financial analysis and understanding of financial concepts
- Knowledge of tax assessment practices and regulations
- Ability to interpret building plans and specifications
- Strong data collection and quantitative research skills
- Solid mathematical aptitude for accurate calculations
- Experience in real estate appraisal or related field
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
