Full Job Description
Classic Industries, the global leader in parts and accessories for American classic cars and trucks, has an immediate opening for a auto parts merchandising / marketing specialist to merchandise products via our catalogs and website.
The ideal candidate will be a detail oriented, self-starting individual who can identify new-product opportunities, interface with product vendors, and deliver product write-ups in a timely manner for inclusion in direct-mail catalogs and e-commerce sites.
This position will require good time management / multitasking skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with automotive parts manufacturers / vendors via phone, email, and occasionally in-person meetings in a professional manner to acquire product pricing, details, and photography
- Write / edit marketing copy to communicate product features and benefits to customers
- Create catalog blocks following a style guide for product photography, marketing copy, pricing, and technical details
- Product number creation and management of merchandise within our product catalog
- Produce product load sheets in Excel to upload data/content into ERP systems
- Effectively communicate any questions or problems that may arise, as well as provide progress updates on projects
Qualifications
- 1 - 3 years merchandising / marketing experience
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Typing and numerical keypad accuracy and proficiency
- Coachability and ability to take and apply constructive feedback
- Understanding of pricing / profitability strategies a plus
- Experience in Microsoft Excel and Adobe a plus
- Automotive products / parts knowledge a plus
Pay
- $46,000 - $52,000 annually
- Pay based upon job skills and work experience
