Position: Senior Analyst
Reports to: Director of Business Analytics and Special Projects
Location: Remote; must reside in New York State
Salary Range: $90,000-$110,000
Pay Grade: Salary,Exempt
Medical Answering Services (MAS) Connects Medicaid enrollees to health care through non-emergency transportation because we believe healthier communities exist when its members have seamless access to healthcare.
Job Summary:
The Senior Analyst will play a key role in collaborating with operational leadership to bring insights optimize program management, improve performance, and properly address opportunities & risks. The analyst will gain expert level understanding of the operations, including workflows, performance drivers and key leadership objectives. The analyst will strive to promote continuous improvement through the delivery of actionable information with analytic support.
Responsibilities:

Develop expert understanding of organizational operations, the New York State Medicaid transportation program, key business drivers, workflows, and performance indicators.

Establish effective business relationships with department leadership and partner with them to identify, evaluate and prioritize objectives and opportunities.

Develop and deliver business analyses that bring insights to optimize program management, improve performance, and properly address opportunities & risks.

Consult with and educate department leadership to explain business performance analyses.

Aid in the design of reporting tools and analysis models to automate information delivery using SQL and PowerBI.
Qualifications & Experience:

Business Process Improvement: Ability to discover, document, and analyze processes to establish effective informational analyses to support business process optimization.

Communication: Effective communication and collaboration skills to maintain effective relationships with department leaders.

Reporting & Analysis: Knowledge of advanced reporting approaches using Microsoft Excel. Understanding of SQL, PowerBI.

Operations & Financial Modeling: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques used to combine operational and financial data; ability to interpret and evaluate alternative scenarios and results.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Education:

Bachelor’s degree, in Finance, Accounting or Business Analytics

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a financial or business analysis role
Travel Requirements:

May be required, at times, to attend meetings in-person with MAS colleagues primarily in the Syracuse area.
