JOB SCOPE:
The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for providing excellent customer service to our external clients, along with assisting the internal Real Estate team with day-to-day inquiries and requests.
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Property Management in overseeing our assets as well as performing property administrator job duties. The Assistant Property Manager will ensure a high level of professionalism and foster positive relationships with other departments, landlords and tenants.

Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:-
Maintains an awareness of the status of all assets

Works with our Facilities department, identifies and addresses issues and problems related to life, safety, liability and potential negligence situations that could impact Owner, its contractors, tenants and/or customers

Maintains tenant and landlord relationships and helps address questions, requests and concerns

Assists leadership in the preparation of annual budgets by investigating managed property's prior year expenses and recommends spending in current and future budgets

Works with Accounting, Leasing, Tax and various other departments in effectively resolving tenant issues

Creates, manages, and maintains a work order system for property repairs to be used by the facilities team to address property maintenance issues

Participates in client meetings/site visits with the facilities team

Responsible for monthly reporting of open accounts and managing defaults

Responds to information request and promptly resolves any day-to-day service or business-related issues

Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed
JOB REQUIREMENTS:-
Bachelors Degree
-
1-2 years of related experience
-
Up to 25% travel
-
18 years of age or older
REQUIRED SKILLS:-
1-2 years of commercial real estate experience, at least partly gained as a landlord representative

Experience in financial management and budgeting, ideally at least partly gained in the corporate or professional services sectors

Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Can effectively influence stakeholders while building relationships with key contacts and internal networks

Proven ability to navigate a complex organization matrix, establish trusting relationships and influence without formal authority

Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, multiple competing demands, ambiguity and frequent change
-
Yardi (or other accounting software), Microsoft Office, CRM System (preferred)
