Umbrella Properties is looking for an Assistant Property Manager to live and work on site at the Northwood Apartments in Springfield. This position is 30 hours per week and is responsible for assisting the Property Manager in maintaining all aspects of property operations, and is attentive to Umbrella Properties goals relating to resident satisfaction and retention. This position requires a high level of customer service and professionalism.
We are willing to train individuals who have the right experience and would be a good fit for this position.
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Update marketing ads online and help with property marketing activities
- Walk vacant units to verify they are rent ready, notify maintenance of any problems
- Prepare correspondences and notices
- Collect/process rent payments and record resident Maintenance Service Requests
- Keep the property grounds and rental office picked up (clean & presentable)
- Oversee that units are clean/prepare for new clientele/Move-ins
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- One year of residential management experience of a large community preferred
Other Requirements:
- Must maintain a neat and professional appearance
- Must be very punctual and have great attendance
- Ability to work a split-week shift
- Ability to use a computer and have a working knowledge of email, Word, Excel, experience with on-site property management software. Yardi knowledge is a plus! Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to close a sale or rental commitment
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
