The Role
We are currently looking to bring on a new Physician Liaison to our already established team to help us continue our expansive growth strategies. Our Liaisons are responsible for maintaining regular contact and establishing new relationships with medical offices and other referral sources throughout Queens, ensuring that our services are well-known and well thought of, and most importantly, that our patients are well cared for.
Responsibilities
The primary role of the Liaison is to develop and maintain strong, lasting relationships with targeted physician/referral sources to bring in patients to the practice. This can be done in a variety of different ways, but major responsibilities include:
- Identify and visit new medical offices
- Bring forward new business opportunities that are uncovered through field interactions
- Represent Reddy Care Physical and Occupational Therapy by interacting with medical offices/doctors in your territory and providing valuable insight into the services we provide
- Develop marketing action plans to help identify new referral sources
- Develop consistent, strategic field call strategies
- Lead planning and execution of referral lunches, events, or meetings
- Manage and update referring physician/physician group records in our extensive database
- Deliver promotional items and medical records as required
- Collaborate via daily meetings with other referral and marketing team members to monitor metrics
- Serve as a resource to other organizational leaders for market data and physician desires to support clinical business and operational planning
- Coordination with admin and clinical team on patient/physician related needs and activities
- Utilizing metrics and EMR to assist in case management issues and informing referral sources of matters there of.
- Field all communications related to referral source matters, handle and report any issue to team/managers
- Consistent follow up with referral sources that ignites meaningful interactions, patients/referral education and successful patient care management
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or health-related field preferred
- Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, including physician relationships
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Creative thinking skills with an emphasis on problem solving
- Excellent communication (written and oral)
- Well organized
- Ability to negotiate basic Microsoft products and Google applications. Text message, emails and other electronic communications
- Enjoys field work - driving to referral sources and events.
- Ability to successfully discuss practice related matters with highly competent peers, such as, physicians, case managers and healthcare administrators
