Fast growing local Optometric practice seeking Full Time Ophthalmic Technician in our City Line Ave. store location.
Ophthalmic Technician responsibilities vary depending on the size and capacity of the medical facility they work for as well as the services it offers, but their main goal is to perform all medical testing prior to the patient seeing the doctor. Their typical day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Visual Acuity Testing
- Color Vision Testing
- Depth perception testing
- OPD
- Read glasses on Marco autolensometer
- NCT, measure patient pressures
- Optos photos
- Pull up patient OPD results, Optos and chart in Crystal in exam lane and complete medical history entry if needed
- Communicate to the doctor any information gathered that may be relevant to the exam
- Visual Fields with Humphrey
- OCT of Retina and ONH
- OCT of Angle and Pachymetry
- Densitometer
- Anterior Seg Camera
- Chronos refraction
- Lipiscan and assist with Lipiflow
- Assist with Tear Care
- Meibography
- Biometric caratonoid scanner
- Firefly photos and dry eye
- Macular degeration genetics testing
