Who are we: Established in 1982, Frank B. Fuhrer Wholesale is the largest beer wholesaler in southwest PA. We have 2 locations - South Side Pittsburgh and Delmont Westmoreland County. We operate a 70-truck delivery fleet daily.
Here's the pay: up to $30/hour with an overtime rate up to $45/hour paid after 8 hours
- Work 40 hours/week, make up to $1,200/week! That's $62,400/year!
- Work 50 hours/week, make up to $1,650/week! That's $85,800/year!
- $5,000 Sign-on bonus (after 90 days)
- $1,000 Tool allowance (after 90 days)
Here's the schedule: Monday-Friday.
We operate 1st and 2nd shift with most of the heavy lifting done in the afternoon/evening.

Now that you know about the hours and the pay, let's talk about the job itself.
A Diesel Mechanic is responsible for keeping our fleet of trucks in good working order and out on the road.
Here's more of what you will do:
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections, service and repairs.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and remove and repair major components of diesel trucks and equipment.
- Overhaul and repair carburetors, fuel injectors, fuel systems and ignition systems.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair vehicle air conditioning and heating systems.
- Repair and overhaul brakes, transmissions, clutches, differentials, steering mechanisms and front and rear axle assemblies.
- Operate basic welding equipment.
- Repair, change, balance and inspect tires for proper condition and air pressure.
- Conduct Pennsylvania State inspections and make necessary repairs to ensure vehicles are in compliance.
- Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns.
- Repair body damage to tractors and trailers.
- Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance procedures associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage and accounting for repair times.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with company and OSHA standards.

Qualifications
Here's what you must have to be considered for this role:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
- One year experience or technical training in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair.
- Basic reading, math and writing skills.
- Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Must possess personal tools.
- Ability to pass drug screen and background check

Physical Requirements & Essential Functions:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Required to lift 50lbs frequently and 100 to 200 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to perform job functions in compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety policies and best practices.
Potential candidates are required to successfully complete a medical evaluation including a physical evaluation designed to test ability to perform basic physical job requirements.
