Swanson Martin & Bell, LLP is looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk, responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and undertaking the payment of all creditors accurately, efficiently, and promptly.
Responsibilities include:
- Processing and paying between 1200-1600 invoices per month
- Reconcile and code monthly credit card statements
- Print A/P checks weekly
- Respond to queries from vendors and staff accordingly
- Obtain payment approval and coding from attorneys
- Prepare and file 1099s
- Track unclaimed property and follow up with payee as needed
- Any other project(s) as assigned by the Controller
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
- Anticipates work needs and follows through with minimum direction, and takes responsibility to follow up on own initiative
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis).
- Works effectively within a team environment, as well as independently
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies or anomalies in financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and partners.
- Prioritizes the organization of workflow and uses time efficiently
