Outreach & Admissions Supervisor
Primary Position Objectives
Provides direct oversight of Job Corps Outreach and Admissions (OA) staff in compliance with corporate and U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) policies and requirements. Ensures that the Job Corps program maintains a positive public image, strong community, and partnerships. Ensures Outreach & Admissions services are effective and comprehensive to support all government requirements and regulations. Supports access to resources and services that will assist in the recruitment of students to the Job Corps Program. Reports to the OA/CTS Program Director.

Procedures
- Provide oversight for the Outreach & Admissions department; ensure full implementation of required recruitment services
- Oversee the conduction of innovative outreach activities with public service agencies, community organizations, schools and individuals who might refer eligible candidates to the Job Corps program
- Create networks with youth development agencies, one-stop agencies, churches and community organizations to provide a wide base for recruiting potential students
- Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students; Prepare related reports
- Review documentation on potential students and review with the Program Director as applicable or necessary
- Collaborate with center staff, to ensure a smooth transition into the program
- Assist in recruitment, hiring, training, coaching, managing performance/evaluations, and progressive discipline in collaboration with corporate HR and direct supervisor
- Assist in the development and administration of standard operating plans and procedures; to include the Outreach & Admissions (OA) plan, as part of the Career Development Service System (CDSS) Plan
- Ensure full execution of established safety, security, quality, and operations policies, procedures, and practices; Adhere to required property control policies and procedures
- Develop and implement staff work schedules and coordinates daily assignments and activities of staff
- Conduct and document self-assessments and acts necessary to improve overall contract performance
- Conduct and/or participate in corporate and DOL mandated training
- Conduct audits of required outreach documents to ensure compliance
- Model appropriate employability skills for dress, language, and work habits
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope and capabilities
- Travel as required
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Performance Standards/Results
- Present information both clearly and concisely and regularly confirms correct interpretation of information
- Very high standard of communication skills both written and oral for the presentation of facts and ideas
- Written communication must be clear, concise, easy to read and comprehend
- Demonstrate the ability to handle several projects simultaneously
- Implement the key principles of time management, task allocation and priority assignment in addition to personal organization
- Continually seek ways to improve the service provided via development of professional skills and personal growth
- Initiate and respond to suggestions for improving service
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point and Excel
Minimum of two years related supervisory experience
Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business communications, or closely related field; or Associate’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business communications, or closely related field and two years related experience
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid State Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
