The Exhibit Installation and Dismantle Specialist reports to the Warehouse Manager and works closely with other staff towards the installation, and maintenance of in-house exhibits, traveling and off-site exhibitions. The primary focus of this position is on the daily care and upkeep of exhibit components, ensuring they are maintained to a high level and conducting or arranging repairs when required. Candidate must be a dependable "self-starter" with strong customer service skills, the ability to analyze situations and troubleshoot problems, and deliver appropriate solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Assemble, clean, dismantle, and securely package exhibit structures and other elements using a range of materials and tools/equipment. Maintain exhibit maintenance and inventory records. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Observe safety and risk management procedures in public areas and work spaces. Maintain inventory of building materials, tools/equipment and exhibit pieces. Assist in the setup and tear-down of temporary/traveling exhibits and displays. Load and unload trucks using a range of tools/equipment, including but not limited to forklifts and pallet jacks. Drive 26' box truck when needed.As required, assist with set-up for special events and rental functions. As required, assist with exhibit-related work at off-site locations, including out-of-town travel (upon completion of 90-day probationary period). Expect to travel between 10-14 times per year, averaging 10 days at a time. Provide excellent customer service to clients
PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and lift; extended periods of standing and moderate physical activity required, you should be comfortable lifting 75 lb. alone. Use hands to manipulate tools and materials, and reach with hands and arms.
REQUIREMENTS Frequent travel of 10 days at a time and between 10-14 times per year. Some college.
