Estimator to prepare cost estimates for product manufacturing & aid management in bidding on or determining price of product or service.
Duties & Requirements:
· Timely quotations on complex FABRICATION projects & MACHINING jobs.
· For Fabrication - must be highly knowledgeable in ASME welding processes, forming processes, materials, metallurgy, and other common manufacturing / fabrication practices.
· Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
· Analyze blueprints and other technical documentation to prepare timelines, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
· Prepare cost change orders/changes from technical documentation /drawings submitted by client.
· Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
· Confer with engineers, customers, sales staff, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
· Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
· Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
· Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors and interface with Purchasing.
· Establish and maintain tendering process, and conduct negotiations.

· Must be knowledgeable and competent in geometry and trigonometry functions – ability to make complex part layouts.
· Knowledgeable or familiar with Rotating Equipment repair work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
