JOB DESCRIPTION:
Ameritel’s HR Generalist is responsible for the successful implementation of HR initiatives aimed at achieving enhanced employee engagement and an improved employee experience that aligns consistently with our company mission and values. This role will manage all regional HR activities including employee relations, onboarding, leadership development and HR compliance. Based in Brooklyn, HR Generalist will be a critical member of the HR team, serving as a valued business partner to the Retail management teams. HR Generalist will be based in Brooklyn, but will be required to travel to New Brunswick, NJ and Brooklawn, NJ on an as-needed basis.
- Manage and support the employee life cycle from new hire to termination across retail functional areas such as talent management, compensation planning, performance management, training & development and HR compliance
- Establish partnerships with management teams and deliver best in class HR standards that align with and achieve company initiatives
- Coach the retail population with a focus on development opportunities, leading effective sales teams, fostering the highest service standards and achieving the optimal retail work environment
- Provide timely HR service to the organization, offering advice on best practices and guidance on the interpretation and practical applications of HR policies, procedures, and legislation
- Manage the Performance Improvement Process ensuring effective coaching, proper documentation, timely follow up and outcome
- Provide detailed hands-on assistance and guidance on all employee escalations. Provide mediation and advice ensuring all matters are handled in a confidential and compliant manner
- Handle Payroll
- Present strategic guidance and recommendations for employee development, succession planning, internal mobility and retention of high potential talent
- Provide regional management with a pulse of the overall engagement of employees and work with managers to ensure retention of valued associates
- Act as an employee ambassador, promoting positive employee welfare and work life balance in a safe and fair environment
- Maintain a consistent presence in the field through regular store visits and listening sessions with retail personnel
Experience:
- Human Resources: 2 years (Required)
