1. Assist with the admission process of new patient’s admissions and orientation procedures and schedules.
2. Records Inventory Logs of all personal belongings and valuables, then, makes return tickets which are kept in the safe.
4. Know where all patients are at all times.
5. De-escalates AMA and other patient problems.
6. Participates in all stall meetings as scheduled.
1. Assist nursing as needed.
2. Provides liaison with nursing staff and other Tech’s to ensure that all patients needs are being met including room assignments.
3. Provides supervision of meals
4. Ensures that garbage is disposed of properly after each meal.
5. Monitors group room to ensure cleanliness after each activity
6. Hands-off information necessary for the evening Techs and Nursing at the end of the day shift.
7. Maintains logbooks for the continuity of care and participates in shift turnover and ensures that the next shift has Techs on duty.
8. Participates in required staff training (minimum 20 hours).
9. Supervise patients completing the detoxification and residential programs with emphasis on patient safety and well-being.
10. Remind clients of program rules and regulations as necessary and report infractions appropriately.
11. Provide emotional support for patients while referring them to therapy staff to deal with clinical issues.
12. Complete all assigned paperwork in a neat, accurate, and timely manner.
13. Complete incident reports according to policy in a timely, and accurate manner.
14. Communicate with other staff as necessary to promote quality patient care.
15. Participate in maintaining clean, properly supplied and efficient work areas.
16. Observe and report safety, maintenance problems.
17. Interact appropriately with patients, showing them respect while maintaining boundaries.
18. Facilitate orientation groups with new patients when applicable.
23. Ensure that the client is comfortable.
30. Works weekends, holidays and is call when applicable.
