Overlake Medical Center's Labor & Delivery unit has an exciting opportunity for a Health Unit Coordinator! The Health Unit Coordinator performs a variety of clerical, coordinating and communication activities to support unit operations.
Our Labor and Delivery Department includes a 6 bed medical screening observation room along with 12 private labor, delivery and recovery suites with bedside newborn admits. The unit also features 3 operating rooms for Caesarean section deliveries and 3 PACU recovery rooms. In addition, we also have direct access to our NICU.
Schedule:
0.6 FTE/12 hours per shift
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience as a Health Unit Coordinator or experience in a related field preferred
Exceptional customer services skills and strong desire to work in a fast paced environment
Familiarity with medical terminology
Effective organization and interpersonal communication skills
Familiarity with computers required
EPIC experience preferred
