SUMMARY: LogistiQ, a Division of LEWCO is a fast-growing conveyor equipment supplier for customers in retail, ecommerce & distribution located in Port Clinton, Ohio. With deep roots in American ingenuity, LogistiQ has the experience of a 100-year-old company but operates much like a start-up with high energy and nimble speed. LogistiQ is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infor Syteline developer with a strong background in database management. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Syteline development and possess a deep understanding of SQL programming principles and best practices. As a Syteline Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SQL-based applications and databases to support our organization's data management needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), encompassing design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Document and understand technical business requirements to inform the development and design of new systems.
- Customize and develop new business logic within the SQL-based Infor CloudSuite Industrial (CSI) systems.
- Create enhancements, add-ons, and reports for CloudSuite Industrial (CSI) ERP.
- Provide support, perform system upgrades, and implement fixes for existing systems and applications.
- Collaborate effectively with team members on project design and implementation.
- Thoroughly test modifications and document all programming tasks and procedures.
- Interact directly with users to deliver exceptional customer service and support.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of experience working as a developer with CSI SyteLine & INFOR products.
- Prefer to have experience working as a lead developer with SyteLine 9.0, but not required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in MS.NET framework and Visual Studio.
- Strong skills in database design and implementation using SQL.
- Ability to troubleshoot and implement programming changes effectively.
- Proficiency in SQL stored procedures and database management.
- Experience in developing business reports using SQL, Crystal, SSRS, or similar tools.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, capable of meeting deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in conveying technical information to users.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in SQL programming and database management, making recommendations for process improvements as necessary.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members as needed.
- Having experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software would be beneficial.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Good math skills are required.
COMPUTER SKILLS: The position requires proficiency with Microsoft Office suite software and data entry.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk and sit. Employee spends some time on shop floor. Most of the time will be spent sitting in front of a computer and use of the phone.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Most of the time, the work environment is temperature controlled in a professional office environment in a manufacturing setting. The employee works in the office but does have occasional interaction with personnel on the shop floor. In plants, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is mixed but does not require hearing protection in most areas.
