Presbyterian Homes of Georgia is currently seeking a dynamic, talented and experienced Pharmacist for our internal Pharmacy at Presbyterian Village in Athens, GA.

This position functions as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) and will be responsible for leading and managing our internal Pharmacy, which is responsible for providing pharmacy services to all facility residents (Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, Independent Living, as well as employees). The Pharmacist is responsible for assisting with developing, coordinating, and supervising all pharmaceutical services of the facility.
In this role the Pharmacist works with the Medical Director, Physicians, Nursing Administration and Department Directors in order to ensure that quality pharmaceutical services are provided to the facility and residents.
The position also makes monthly drug regimen reviews for each resident and submits reports to the Executive Director, Administrator and Quality Assurance Committee on the utilization of the pharmaceutical services in the facility.
The applicant must be a licensed Pharmacist (in Georgia) with 3-5 years of experience and have a strong desire to work with the elderly.
Strong communication, organization and time-management skills are required.
Previous experience in the Long-term care, hospital or related healthcare field would be a plus.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
· MUST possess a PharmD and be a licensed Pharmacist in Georgia.
· MINIMUM of 3 - 5 years of experience as a Pharmacist (preferred).
· Demonstrable experience leading a successful team in an organization.
· Experience with supervising Pharmacy Technicians.
· Experience with scheduling/staffing.
· Should be a role model and willing to work with staff at every level of the facility to ensure that quality services are being provided.
· Must be able to problem solve any concerns raised by residents, families, visitors and/or staff.
· Ability to serve as a resource to Nursing department staff.
· Experience with EMR / EHR systems.
· Possess a strong sense of ethics and confidentiality.
· Excellent team-building skills.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· The ability to develop and execute short and long-range plans.
· Ability to meet deadlines.
· Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
· The ability to work both independently and as a team player.
· Proficiency in MS Office programs.
