Alaska Retinal Consultants is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Ophthalmic Technician. Hours vary from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Duties include assisting with patient flow by preparing patients for exams/procedures, performing all aspects of patient work-ups (visual acuity, lensometry, keratometry, tonometry, etc.) and diagnostic/technical testing, scribing, and other related duties. The technician will document eye exam findings under the direction of our physicians accurately into the electronic medical record.
We are looking for an individual who has a strong sense of teamwork and maintains a professional and positive attitude in a busy environment. Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask as well as be dependable and flexible.
Previous experience or training as an Ophthalmic Technician preferred. COA/COT desired.
