Position Responsibilities:

Performs and participates in decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment

Inspects all equipment and instruments for proper function and/or damage and reports to the appropriate person

Demonstrates proper use of the ultrasonic cleaner

Demonstrates proper use of PPE equipment during decontamination/cleaning process

Performs other duties as assigned or required

Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Central Processing background and experience are required
-
Central Processing Technologist Certification is preferred

Able to stand, walk, sit, squat, pull, push, and lift over 50 pounds

Must be flexible with hours

Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

Ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds
