Title: DELIVERY DRIVER
Reports To: Office Administrator
Summary of Position:
Deliver and setup orders for clients in a safe, timely, and professional manner representative of the high standards of Uptown Catering. Do drop offs for staffed events and pickups of equipment after events. Work with the event expo manager and event leads to execute the setup of events of all size from 10-1000 people. 1+ years of catering experience preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Make deliveries of our product to commercial business locations.
- Setup orders and provide attentive customer service to our clients while on-site.
- Assemble all accoutrements and service ware necessary for the setup and presentation of orders.
- Pay attention to customer needs and consumption in order to advise kitchen staff on opportunities for improvement of the client experience.
- Clean and maintain equipment and work area associated with the job function.
- Assist the restocking and replenishment of product and supplies as stipulated in the shift duties.
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen as directed by the kitchen manager or immediate supervisor.
- Maintain a focus on delivery schedule and communicate with kitchen staff, supervisor and clients when order times are falling behind.
- Other restaurant tasks as required by management or leadership.
Qualifications :
- Be 18 years of age.
- Possess suitable communications skills to create a positive interaction experience with our clients and staff.
- Possess a valid state driving license.
- Have use of a properly maintained, licensed, and street-legal vehicle capable of driving upwards of one hundred miles per day.
- Maintain minimal or higher insurance coverage as mandated by state law.
- Maintain an acceptable driving record as stipulated by company policy and insurance carrier
Be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
Possess a cell phone to use for calling customers upon arrival.
Be capable of reading a map and interpreting GPS directions.
Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and make change.
Be able to work in a sitting while driving, standing, and walking position with frequent changes between positions.
Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 75 pounds.
Have exceptional grooming and hygiene habit.
