The role:
The core mission of our Support Engineer is to maintain and improve the way in which we use technology to support and grow our business. We can’t achieve our mission without technology, and we are always striving to find ways to make things easier for our team, teachers and school partners so they can focus on what matters most - creating exceptional experiences.
You’ll work on:
- Support tickets: respond to and resolve all technical issues from the team with urgency and efficiency.
- Systems improvement: learn our proprietary software, and work on requests to better the user experience of our consultant team and external partners.
- Tech setup and maintenance: help new starters get set up in our systems, and action any issues our existing team has.
- Management of our applicant tracking system (ATS): maintain and build workflows that streamline the applicant process for both prospective educators, and our internal team of consultants.
- Creation of FAQs and other resources to promote greater understanding within our team, and reduce submission of tickets that can be self-solved.
You should have:
- Qualifications/certifications in IT or computer science, however a college degree is not required
- 2+years of IT experience
- Expert systems knowledge of Microsoft, Google & Zapier, including being an excel spreadsheet guru
- Some exposure to database creation and management
- Interest in managing the company’s hardware (mainly Mac laptops)
- Outstanding communication skills
- Ridiculous attention to detail
- Demonstrated history of delivering exceptional outcomes
- Growth mindset, grit and the drive to succeed
You’ll stand out if you:
- Have a background within the education industry
- Have built and/or maintained applicant tracking or scheduling systems
- Have built simple database driven websites
