Job: Registered MRI technologist
The position is a day shift position at a dedicated breast center with no nights, weekends or call. Breast MRIs are only exams performed at the facility.
Certification:
- ARRT Certification Required
- Two years of MRI experience (Preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must understand and practice all MRI safety standards at all times
- IV/acupuncture skills preferred as MRI technologist are responsible for starting IVs
- Breast MRI experience is preferred but not required
- Effective communication skills with staff and patients
Job Description:
- Operates MRI scanner (Phillips 1.5 T) to produce high quality MRI images, process, transmit and archive images sending them to PACS and Dynacad
- Updates electronic medical records using EHR (Allscripts) and Penrad
- Provides radiologists and physicians with patient history and obtain informed consent.
- Administers proper amount of contrast media and monitors patient during the entire MRI exam.
- Alerts radiologists to cases of possible contrast reactions
- Maintains clean and sanitary MRI environment.
- Complies with other duties and activities as requested by the MRI supervisor.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
