Job Summary
Under the general supervision of management and medical providers, the Telemedicine Assistant provides care directly to our patients in a luxurious telemedicine setting. Utilizing the Red Mountain telehealth platform, the Telemedicine Assistant functions across a variety of roles including medical assisting and general administrative support. While providing the best possible patient care and five-star customer service, the Telemedicine Assistant significantly impacts the company by supporting patients in achieving safe and healthy weight loss.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for telemedicine consultation, evaluation, and treatment
- Prepare charts and confirm the patient has all proper forms and consents completed before their visit
- Virtually welcome and acknowledge every patient with a verbal greeting, using the patient’s name when possible
- Deliver basic medical assistant duties, including reviewing medical history and medications instructing patients on taking blood pressure, via the telemedicine platform, and documenting properly in the EMR system
- Provide detailed descriptions of Red Mountain weight loss programs, medications, and products
- “Room” patients in online waiting rooms utilizing the telemedicine platform
- Conduct electronic registration and check-out tasks, including collecting accurate demographic information, securing payment, and ensuring the accuracy of charges
- Accurately schedule, change, confirm, and cancel appointments
- Become a supportive partner on each patient’s journey, and ensure they stay empowered and motivated
- Submit lab and medication orders, close register, and run daily reports for all medication orders
Schedule and Compensation
- This position requires a commitment to full-time hours, typically ranging between 35 and 40 hours per week.
- We offer various shifts with working hours ranging from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and 5:30 am to 3:00 pm on Saturdays. Shifts are scheduled for 8 hours, 5 days a week, with mandatory Saturday availability.
- The pay scale for this role varies between $17.50 to $21.00 per hour, contingent upon past medical or customer service experience.
- This position requires a daily commute to our Scottsdale, AZ telecenter and is not available for remote work.
Skill and Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role emphasizing exceptional customer service experiences, ideally coupled with direct patient care involvement in either clinical or administrative capacities.
- Proficient in navigating computer systems and programs with ease and proficiency.
- Comfortable presenting a professional image via video, including maintaining appropriate eye contact and effectively communicating actions even while looking away or down.
- Warm, approachable, and non-judgmental demeanor coupled with a genuine passion for assisting others – a true people-person.
- Demonstrates professionalism in actions and conduct, serving as a fitting ambassador for Red Mountain Weight Loss.
- Exceptional hospitality talents, adept at empathizing with others and ensuring a pleasant encounter.
