Summary:
The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the application of non-ionizing high frequency ultrasound waves.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION

AAS degree required, BS in Medical Diagnostic Sonography preferred

BLS recommended
-
ARDMS RVT certification or registry eligible. Must have current certification for ARDMS RVT within one year of hire
EXPERIENCE

One (1) year working experience as Ultrasound Staff Technologist or one (1) year clinical experience as a graduate of an accredited Ultrasonography program that includes a clinical internship.

Within three (3) months of hire, employee should be able to perform examinations in an acceptable manner.

Work requires precision in recording and preparing data, recognizing that errors may have serious consequences for patients.
- Must pay strict attention to detail and maintain alertness to detect evidence of irregularities in images as well as equipment malfunctions. These must be communicated to a Supervisor and a call must be placed for maintenance.

Must be organized in maintaining workflow.
- Must possess patience and maturity in dealing with patients and families as well as medical staff and other practice personnel.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Required to travel to other TM affiliated locations.
- Must be able to transport equipment from area to area within the practice.
- Must be capable of transporting equipment to the patient bedside. Exposure to infectious disease process.
