Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our clinic, you will have the opportunity to work with children of all ages and abilities, utilizing play-based interventions to enhance their motor skills, sensory processing, and overall independence, with the emphasis on a multi-disciplinary approach to address therapy goals.
To accomplish this goal, we are looking for a full to part time occupational therapist (with pediatric experience preferred) who has strong skills in developing relationships, integrating play therapies, and has an interest/background in neuromuscular treatments and sensory integration. Licensure in Idaho is required. Multi-disciplinary care is the core of our service and we are looking for a therapist who enjoys being part of a service driven team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess children's strengths and areas of need.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's goals and abilities.
- Implement evidence-based interventions using a play-based approach to promote skill development and participation in daily activities.
- Collaborate closely with families and caregivers to provide education and support.
- Communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Supervision of COTA staff per state regulations
Qualifications:
- Master's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Idaho license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working with pediatric populations preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with children, families, and team members.
